Chapter 105: A Really Bad Day & Angry People Over The World

The Universe seems, somehow, to tell me something.
It seems that I shouldn't be here...
What a tricky situation to be where you are not meant to be.
Things can be changed.
Everything can be.
It takes time...

Few days ago, I was coming from work, biking with my friend mike excellent bike.
I had reached the part of the Goose when you bike along the ship yard, and suddenly,
out of the blue, a scene that was most probably hilarious, I wasn't on the bike anymore, but flying,
head first, then, my head went first, and the floor stopped my oh very gracious fall.
My wrist, of course, took the entire shock, and it is still hurting. And, of course, it is
my right wrist, the one I use to draw and work.
A piece of my front tooth got chopped, and that was it.

I rested on the floor for few seconds, not fully understanding what really happened.
What happened?
I looked at the bike, stopped few feet away from me.
It seemed intact.
What the heck happened??!?!
I went back to the bike, and everything was fine.
I climbed back on, but the back wheel is not turning anymore.
After paying a tad more attention, I noticed that the wheel is not straight anymore,
but inclined in a way that makes it touch the metal frame...
Ok, this is what happened...
The frame shaped and broke...
Are you kidding me??!?!
It broke at the back, so the back wheel wasn't holding it's place anymore
and went to touch the frame, and got stuck there, and, of course, stopped turning,
propelling me into oblivion.
Here are two pics which help a little to understand what I mean:

Snap I

Snap II

I hope that this two pictures help understanding what had happened.
I don't really know anymore how to explain it better.

Anyway, I carried the goddam bike home, my hands all black from the fall.

I arrived home to be greeted by my wife, and to learn that our %#$@*&
internet had been cut off, cause, i forgot to pay the bill.
Wonderful.
Then, my computer stopped working, a dvd stuccoed in the reader, with no freakin' way to eject it, and with the computer trying to read it constantly...
Ok, that's too much for me.

What to think about all that stuff?
I'm still thinking about it.

Have you notice how much people are pissed nowadays?
I mean, we are all pissed from time to time, but in the days we are living in,
people are really really pissed.
It is coming.
And it is coming fast.
How many days until the winter solstice 2012?

Here are a lots of views of our anger, from all over the world.
There is, also, no need to comment those images, except to notice that,
repression is always present when people get in that state of mind and act
upon it:

Chile

France

Sweden

Afghanistan

Mexique

Libye

Spain

Ouganda

Ukraine

Chile

Libye

Chile

Afghanistan or Libye

Unknown

Unknown

I want to add that, a lots of good things are happening.
To everyone, as well as the bad things.
But, the unknown is in the air.
Close your eyes if you feel like it, it matters but a choice is a choice.
I will, very soon, talk about the beautiful things that are happening to me all the time.
Just don't forget... Not yet...

Amy

Chapter 104: A Miniature World Trip . Part2

So, where did we stop yesterday?
Oh yea, on the porch of a lovely but house.
And, if I remember well, I promised you the city.
Well, here it is:

The City Building
So, here we are.
A big city, somewhere in Canada, probably at the end of the 19th century.
The industrial revolution is in the air.
Times are changing.

The Movie Theatre
And look at that, Laurel & Hardy are playing tonight!
At 7.00 pm.
Not far away, a policeman is making sure order is respected.

Train Passing By
Here and there, army groups are regrouping.
Where they come from, and where they go, only few know.
At the train station, soldiers and civilians follow the same fate.

Building
And the city is prosperous.
And the buildings are growing like mushrooms now.

City at Night
Night & Days.
The lights light up,
and life keeps going,
like a train never stopping...

Le Jardin Potager
And we hop in the train again, and houses and landscape are passing us by.
From time to time, we can admire a nice garden, source of survival for the inhabitants.

Boats Leaving & Coming
At last, we reach the Maritimes, the east cost of Canada,
just in time to jump in one of these boats,
on our way to Europe.

Berlin - 1945
And we rapidly found ourselves in the middle of the second world war,
Berlin in 1945, burning, trying to vainly resist the approach of the Allies.

And the planes are dropping bombs.

And inside each plane, someone driving it.

That would be all regarding the miniature trip for today, but soon enough, we'll be back and we'll bring you to see a car show, travel into some legendary places, and spy on some details.

Yesterday, we looked at some body art as I called it, even though, that ain't what body art is,
but anyway, today, let's look at different and interesting type of contemporary sculpture:

Red & Green
Somewhere in France I believe, an artist is making a large toile.

Around
The art of balance on a greater scale. Interesting I say...

Martin Luther King Jr
More traditional, a brand new sculpture of Martin Luther King Jr.

Floating Art
And, let's finish with a floating sculpture dripping water in Aix en Provence, France.
Conceptual art, is not, for the faint of art.

Now, before retiring into my secret mansion, let's have some look at some pics illustrating the High & Low of life in a great way:

That was close
Definitely Low.

Tomatoes Fight - Spain
Most definitely Low.

Floaded
Hmmmm... How Low can you really go?

Asian Volcano
Ah, High! Somewhere in Asia, the habitants practise a strange ritual based on the power of the volcano.

Eagle & Plane
High, very high. This is, strangely, not a fake, just one of those moment.

In The Alps
At last, very very very High. That dudes, which I have forgotten everything about,
set himself a series of challenges, all based on a wicked sense of balance.
I believe he didn't end up completed this one...

Voila, that's all for now folks.
Have a nice day and what's not.
And, once again, don't forget.

Amy

Chapter 103: A Miniature World Trip . Part1

You couldn't possibly say that, Victoria is a museum city.
That wouldn't be something I would agree with.
But, in the midst of the banal, I must admit that there is two places, museum as they kind of call themselves,  that I deeply and simply love.

The first one is the BC Museum, which I might talk about sometimes in the future.

The second one is Miniature World.
Last week, Silvia, Ethan and myself went there.
I love going there as I already said.
It's like a crazy trip into time and space, most of the time, admirably done.
Over the next few weeks, I will post some of the pictures that i took there.
It's kind of my vision of the place taken with my phone, so please, bare with the somehow poor quality of the shots.
Also, before we start, I would like to say that some of the pics re being shown before they are pleasant and interesting for the eyes, while some other, even though of poor quality, are funnily worth watching.

And this said, let's start:

North of France
I will start in France.
I have to say that we will go from place to place
without an paying too much attention of themes or logic.
But instead, we will just follow the flow, like  a bird following the wind.
So, this is France, somewhere in the north, during the middle age I believe.

North vs. South
Then, we jump right in the middle of the civil war in the US, flags and all.
Even though, somehow simplistic, the scene has something that play for itself.

The Great Canadian Pacific
And here we are, on the west coast of Canada, back in the days.
I absolutely love the water, the effects it gives, you almost get the smell of it.
And of course, the wagons, with their already well done advertising.

Blackwell's Boatshed
A little further, another business, men being busy working,
and those wonderful letter wonderfully drew on the back of the employe...

Tunnel
And we jump on the train, and start heading towards the East.
Real miniature train go along the trip,
and the Rockies are approaching at great speed.

In The Rockies
We are blessed enough to even admire some of
the Canadian wild life. Here, a family of deers look at us as
we are passing by with the train.

Abandoned House in Alberta
Et voila...
We are on the other side of the majestic chain of mountain we here call The Rockies.
And, facing us, are now the Great Plains. Alberta welcomes us with an abandoned
little house on the side of the train track.

The Prairies
We keep on going east, and we cross the Prairies.
The colours are a reminder of the impressionists inspiration, and so are
the themes. On a side note, it is amazing in that pic, how, a grossly painted
cloud can work so well to give that ambiance of rain coming, or, passing
by in the horizon.

Blue Prairie House
And we are going to end that trip for today,
sitting on the porch on that elegant blue house,
sipping tea and eating coffee cake.
Next, we'll hit the city.

Before I sign and end this post, I would just like to mention two more things.
First, a double look at modern body art.
Why?
Because I think it is very interesting:

A german street artist is observed while performing at the Alhondiga-Centre on the first day of the
Aste-Nagusi in Bilbao. I must say that, whatever it is, I'm IN!

This Chinese Artist named Liu Bolin is becoming a master in the art of invisibility.
He is trying to represent the individual in the chinese society.
Ouch...

And, this is no art, but still, somehow, this is the crap an interpretation that is floating around the planet,
millions of debris made by hominoid space missions. Hmmmm... Looks like Marseille.

Voila, that's all folks.
Don't forget the dead lady.

Amy
