Chapter 110: Special Images #2

In the face of my personal satisfaction with the previous post, -smile-, I decided to make another one, same and different, a Special Images #2.

A slightly different way to deal with it though, so, let's start right away:

PART 1: THE WORLD OF ILLUSTRATIONS - A SHORT EUROPEAN VOYAGE

Les Aventures De Tintin
Tintin is everywhere right now, and so, let's enjoy few interesting things.
On a side note, I can't wait to see the movie. I don't give a damn about the critics, good or bad,
I just can't wait to see the movie.
More to come on that subject later.

Tintin aka Billy Elliot
Frankly, Tintin kind of looks better...

In The Desert
This, simply is, my younger youth.

Haddock & Tintin
And so is that. Here, the light and colours are amazing.
C'est l'empire des lumières.

J'avais un rendez-vous...
We were in Belgium right before with Hergé, let's move south to Italy with mr. Pratt and, like here,
some sweet water colour of mr. Maltese.

Corto Maltese
Or here, with the touch of the black lines, adding such a weird sharpness.

The Dance
Or again, like here.
Dancing the gig with the Bones March! A must!

Druillet
And now, let's go to France, with a master of his genre, mr. Druillet.
If you think this is detailed, check the next one!

lone sloane delirius
Click on the image to see the the full size, cause it's mad.

The Lilypad floating
And finally, to the US, for a design that makes you dream.
Very very cool...

PART 2: THE WORLD OF WATER

Bangkok - Thailand
I hope you heard about the massive amount of water that the weather and such gladly brought to
Thailand in the past few days, but in case you missed it, here are some shoots to put things back in
prospective.
Very few comments are needed.

One Leg Up

The Insane River
This, truly is insane.
Not only is it madly watery, but it shows the grossness of our society, even that far away from here...

Keep On Moving
The colours of the light reflection on the water are simply gorgeous.

Monks In The Water

The Handicapped
Again, absolutely out of this world.

The Insane River #2

Kids and Water
That's the first smile I've seen... Take it as a lesson.

Whirpool
The lady with the child seems to be on her cell... I wonder who she is talking to...

keep on Moving 32
Crazy, amazing, ridiculous and fascinating...
Et voila.

PART 3: ANGER, CONFRONTATION & CONSEQUENCES

Protest
And it goes on and on, people are showing their disagreements, to say the very last, and, it comes from
all over the place, from all fronts imaginable. The question is, where are we going?

Somewhere in Europe
Both sides are definitely getting ready, the confrontation is now

Greece
In Greece, it really seems to be going towards a kind of revolution, the violence is already there...

Greece

Endangered Species
Us.

Fire Burning
And all of that comes with various type of consequences:

Sprayed

South America
Death.

Greece
And waiting...

France
And in Paris, protests from the print industry...
The world has turned upside down.
Are we still standing people?

PART 4: VEHICLES

Ok, let's relax a little.
Time to look at some interesting and sometimes beautiful machines.
A fast look into the world of human vehicles:

Libya
War machine.

The Listening Car
Car Expo in Tokyo Japan.

Grand Prix
Racing on two wheels.

A Stuck Airplane - Thailand
The flood has forced this plane to stay on the ground.
Sad image of a failed purpose.

French Car - Dauphine
And a french car from the 60's.

Red Dauphine

Number 9 - Dauphine
The lines of this car are exquisites. The attention to details was applied in a different way.
Mostly fascinating...

Black Renault 8 - French Car from the 60's
My dad use to have one of those, but white
The car had no gear to go backward, I remember it as a nightmare...
The car, however, was fantastic!

R8 Gordini
The engine was situated in the back...
It was recommended to fill the front trunk with sand so it would be heavier and the car would
hold the road better. Good times...

The Perfect House
And last but again, not least, this double decker bus is a house.
More on that one in a near future...

PART 5: ART

Okayyyyyyyyyyy, so, let's start with the Ground Zero Project:
After 9/11, quite afterwards actually, a decision was made to create something on the original
place of the Twin Towers. Here is the ground itself, and the various projects selected.
The least we can say is that, again, it is interesting.
This is a mad mad world people!

Ground Zero
Looks like a war zone, as it was...

Starting to Rebuild
The scale is inhuman...

Silver Tower Project

Rising From It's Own Ashes
Isn't it odd as this is rarely mentioned in the medias?

Glass Tower Project
Looks like a cool futuristic set for a movie...

Going Up
The work is most definitely on it's way...

French Commemoration
The french remember 9/11 with various exhibits in Paris.

The Coloured Tower
And now, let's go somewhere else.
We are still within the theme of towers, but that is a piece of artwork made by i don't remember who from i don't remember where...
And yes, I do like it!

Reflections
Another piece of artwork, somewhere in Europe I believe, even though I may be wrong on that one.
Where does it comes and where does it end?
The infernal reflections...

Red Dress
The biggest dress ever made... Made in China, of course...

PART 5: ACROSS THE WORLD IN IMAGES

This is a little bit of everything and nothing.
Just for the pleasure.

Space Shuttle
Can you imagine what it would be to be up there?
To have a job that requires you to be up there?
Amazing, unthinkable really...

Space Man
Exactly my point from the previous comment!

Nude
Pictures of male nudity from an unknown artist in Paris-France.

Some People
This is, by the way, a pretty bad position to use while sitting...

The Man & The Tiger
Pfff, what do you want to say about that?

Running With No Legs
Oh, this is so admirable and inspiring.
What a shoot!

Running With Legs
There is such an harmony on that picture, the colours and shape, just truly beautiful.

Russia
The new favourite teenage sport in Russia, climbing as high as possible and take crazy pictures.
Those Russians are amazing.
This is mad... Again...

Surfing The Wave
And, you don't want to mess up...

Foiled Escape
And finally, this man tried to escape from jail, in the US, inside a suitcase.
Nice try I'd say...

PART 6: THE PEOPLE

Last part. Already.
So, let's talk a little bit about people.
Let's have a look at some people, with no specific order, nor any specific common theme,
with the exception that, they are all humans... Well, at least I think they are...

Mr. Steven Spielberg - US Director & Producer

Steve Job - Apple Founder

Joachim Noah - French Basketball Player

Mr. & Mrs. Obama

Manu Chao - French Musician & Activist

François Holland - French Center Left Politician

Lindsay Lohan - Messed up US Actress

Russia's Dangerous Clowns

Poutine - Russian Prime Minister

Silvio Berlusconi - Corrupted Italian Politician Deep In It

Et voila, c'est fini pour aujourd'hui...
-smile-
More to come soon, for I have a lot and nothing to say nowadays.
My job schedule is killing me, and that is, truly, why I am less productive.
On this, I am still pondering.

Sincerely,

Serge
