Chapter 144 . There's a new thing in town...

... And it's a newspaper!

Get ready folks, the Sooke Scoop is getting launched, and it has a lot to say!
In short, get ready for some real news, not that I have anything against the actual publications,  but Sooke is such a special, life changing place, that it also requires a certain type of information.
And, well, it is a reality now!

But, for the one who are not familiar with our Island, let me talk for a second or two about Sooke.
The Community of Sooke website says:
Sooke is located on the south western tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It has a sheltered harbor, and is a scenic half hour drive from BC's capital city Victoria. The Sooke region encompasses East Sooke and the District of Sooke, two communities which are joined across the Sooke Harbour and Basin.

Few weeks ago, my partner and I went there for a walk on Ella Beach.
It was a rainy day, grey and humid, but it was nothing short than amazing, as always.
Facing the ocean, all colours united, a melancholic and quite beautiful mood was floating.

It is one of the very powerful spot on Vancouver Island...
I think it casts a spell onto the lucky visitor.
Even though, he is allowed to leave, it can never forgot.
Not can he stay long away from it.
Sooke has, a magical aura.
It's one of those place that makes you feel... At home...

The Editor contacted me a while ago to ask me if I wanted to participate.
I would be in charge of the "Comics/Funnies" section. I couldn't resist! In fact, it was a perfect timing, so I got back to some old projects, and decided to publish The Case of the Chinese Cemetery via the Sooke Scoop, among few others comicstrips.
It is going to be a project in motion and should began to have an identity quite fast!
it is, indeed, an exciting time!
